About Us

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Benefit for the Basin is a non-profit volunteer organization that supports youth, education, community and the Klamath County Event Center.
Our Story
The focus of the Benefit for the Basin is improving our community by supporting youth, education, community, and the Klamath County Fairgrounds. We understand this is a big task, we take it seriously, and although this may be a drop in the bucket, we feel every drop counts. 100% of the proceeds from Benefit for the Basin are used to support youth, education, community and the Klamath County Fairgrounds.
Our first Benefit for the Basin was held in 2013, where we raised $8,600 towards benefiting our community. Through sponsorships, gifts, dinner, auctions and the car show all held at the Klamath County Fairgrounds, we have raised in excess of a million dollars! Funds are distributed throughout organizations in the Klamath Basin.

Meet Our Volunteers

President - Joe Reister
I had this vision of helping the community and in 2013 it became my reality. One of my favorite memories is our first scholarship night at the Chamber of Commerce. Without the community BFTB would not exist!

Treasurer - Kristine Golden
Being a member of the BFTB is one of the ways I give back to this wonderful community. Meeting new people and making new friends is what it's all about.

Lead - Cristy Rodriguez
Owner/Partner of Express Employment Professionals. Stepping in with BFTB is a way for me to connect with the community outside of my usual business.

Website/Awards - Angel Wampler
Owner of Twin Acres Studio. I joined the BFTB because I saw the good it was doing in our community. The support it receives is outstanding!

Volunteer - Kate Mathis
I first heard of the Benefit when they donated funds to my team. I was eight years old. I became a part of the BFTB shortly after and have been involved ever since.

Vice President - Keith Stotts
Owner of K&D Autobody. I was approached by Joe and Archie to become a part of the Benefit many years ago. Of course, I agreed to join and have enjoyed every minute of my involvement with the group and the community.

Lead - Liz Ugalde
I personally am happy to be a part of helping the youth in our community. Volunteering gives me a sense of purpose, and it brings community in my life through friendships and new acquaintances.

Lead - Gary Cheyne
Owner of Cheyne Country Financial. Owning a business and being part of the community is important. Along with all the hard work comes a satisfying feeling of helping youth in the Basin.

Volunteers - JD Davis & Rhonda Brown
It feels good to give back to the youth in our community.

Volunteer - Roman Rodgers
I am passionate about making a difference in the lives of our youth.

Volunteer - Amanda Curry
